Abstract
The objective behittd the creation of Pakistan was to establish ati Islamic State based on the principles of freedom, equity, tolerance and social justice. In this state, security was granted to the non-Muslims to live according to their belief and creed. They were also given opportunity to promote tlteir culture The Objective Resolution which was passed on March 12, 1949, always remained a preamble of every constitution of Pakistan. In this Constitutional Document, religious mfooririer were assured about their basic rights and religious freedom. In all the constitutions of Pakistan, they were given human and religious rights. They are free to practice their own religion and free to opt any profession. In the matter of justice, they are equally treated. If some one violated the rights of the minorities or commits agression against them, he is liable to be punished by the law. They can take part in the politics fn National and Provincial Assemblies. They have their representation in parliament. They can enjoy equal benefits from the State. They can enjoy equal facilities of eduction and health services. They can join Army and other deRartments of the government. They me free to celebrafe lhetr festivals and live according to their own cuf/ure. Islamic State of Pakistan provides them full protection of life and property . Due to tolerance and equality on the part of muslim majority, religious minorities of Pakistan are enjoying peaceful and prosperous life.
