In this article lhe author has critic ally discussed the writers of Pakistan Movement, especially how they have placed Sir Muhammad Iqbal in the scenario of Pakistan Freedom Movc•ment. She emphasized that all the writers focus on Iqbal deliberation on the idea of Pakistan in his Allahabad address of 30 December 1930. The writers do not bother to go further than this aspect of Iqbal in Frec•dom Movement. They have not shown further interest in Iqbal's contribution for Pakistan Movement. The y do not mention about his speeches at Anjuman-i-Himayat-i-Islam at Lahore. They do not take the pains to probe tlf e cor responclence between Iqbal and Jinnah from 1933 to 1938. How Iqbal iii his letters elaborated the idea of Pakistan. Abida Iqbal Zaidi's article is important cis it invites historians to further probe Iqbal. She has mentioned books and authors, whom she considers have not placed Iqbal on f/tc rat ght pedes I ol of Fre edom Movement. Iqbal has continuously been deliberating ot1 freedom, on self-respect, inspiring the Muslim of India in particular acid Muslims of the world in general to invoke qualitie s of s elf-re lizotion and cliin b the stairs of research knowledge and glory.
