Objective: To determine if meatal stenosis in male children is related to neonatal circumcision and is a preventable condition. Methodology: Retrospectively, we studied the medical records of 116 children with age rang from 4 months to 4 years, who underwent meatotomy at Queen Rania Hospital for Children, from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2013. Results: 98 (85%) children were seen in the first two years of life and directly related to circumcision.18 (15%) cases were seen between three and four years of age. 110 (95%) cases underwent conventional meatotomy, while 6 (5%) had meatal diletation. Conclusion: Meatal Stenosis might be related to neonatal circumcision. We recommend postponing the circumcision until the age of two years, i.e. without diaper.
